Southgate Mall offers friendly, family-oriented shopping in the only totally enclosed mall in Northeastern North Carolina. The Mall features over 30 national and regional specialty shops, with Belk, JCPenney, and Goody's Family Clothing as our anchors.

Southgate Mall is located at 1409 W. Ehringhaus Street, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina -- minutes from US-17 Business, with easy access to the new US-17 by-pass. Elizabeth City serves as the cultural and commercial center of the Northeast North Carolina’s Albemarle Region, which positions Southgate Mall as a commercial center for the Region. Retailers and loyal customers alike enjoy our prime location and trouble-free access to major travel routes.

The Southgate Striders, a walking for fitness program under the auspices of Albemarle Hospital, walk the Mall Monday through Saturday beginning at 8:00 AM. Medical professionals are here each Friday morning monitoring the walkers and providing blood pressure tests and other screenings. The Mall is also host to numerous community and civic events.
